"OURS"

Opening our Doors presents ‘OURS’; a SIDE Presents Production

Join us for ‘OURS’; a storytelling showcase unfolding hour by hour, where artists delicately weave their tales and experiences. Supported by the rhythmic waves of Mez.Wav, we strive to create an atmosphere steeped in warmth and reverence, paying tribute to the Indigenous people who grace this land.

We extend a heartfelt invitation to visit our affirmation station, thoughtfully executed by Anabelle, the creative mind behind Ines Interiors. It’s a sanctuary amidst the festivities, where you can capture a moment of serenity. And don’t forget to indulge in complimentary donuts and hot “SIDEr” – a playful nod to the autumn season sponsored by Red Apple Farms.

Our exceptional lineup of artists serves as a testament to the treasures of Boston. Grounding us with an open invitation to embrace the healing practices of grandmothers from diverse corners of the world. Florcy, the heart of Grandmother Medicine Circle, generously shares the timeless wisdom passed down by her Grandmother and elders, providing us a glimpse into the power of these traditions. Florcy will also create space for limited intimate solo drum sessions.

Following, Cheyenne Wyzzard-Jones, Director of Spiritual is Political, and Tonasia Jones, Director of Programs at The Theatre Offensive, engage in a thoughtful dialogue, exploring the intricate relationship between theatre-making and contemporary art curation, delving into the narratives of Black and Indigenous stories. Be sure to visit the SIP curated art installation, a stunning showcase brought to you by Indigenous artists within their organization.

To bring our unforgettable journey to a harmonious close, we are honored to present the musical talents of Evelyn Blush, accompanied by Jennylee. Their melodies and rhythm will envelop you, promising an afternoon filled with the warmth of shared moments and personal fulfillment.

Throughout these decadent hours, ‘OURS’ ensures not just an event, but a heartfelt community gathering. You’re more than a guest; you’re an integral part of our community. Embrace the joy of self-discovery, savor the learning opportunities, and enjoy the delightful treats we have prepared.

Come, be with us, and let’s weave beautiful memories together.
